When Niamh started playing the piano, she needed two cushions on the seat to reach the keys – but comfort never stopped her progression. Now classically trained, the form and phrasing of which is something she brings to her adventures in pop. As a session player, Niamh has played with pop bands at esteemed venues such as The Cavern, Jacaranda and as a solo performer at Liverpool’s Festival of Light. She has also recently graduated from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts with a First Class Bachelor of Arts in Music.

Niamh has worked with a variety of artists across many genres, including psychedelic rock, neo soul, indie, synth-pop, and RnB, performing backing vocals as well as keys. Contrasting this, her compositional work is heavily inspired by the likes of Ludovico Einaudi, creating atmospheric lyrical piano pieces and orchestral scores.

As well as her session work, Niamh has experience playing corporate events and weddings, both in a function band and as a solo pianist. She has performed at venues including the Titanic Hotel, the Hilton hotel and the Royal Liver Building.

Niamh also teaches piano lessons at the Liverpool Lighthouse and Pulse Music School.
